Laura takes it in the closing rounds

The lead changed hands 6 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Laura crossed the finish line first, on 108 points. In the last of the middle eights: Laura said 0, scooped 5, and Vyce was left counting the pieces. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row. Laura cried laughing 3 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.

Vyce took the runner-up spot with 96 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Vyce said and... hoped. It didn't hold. Vyce was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Third, on the podium: Luis, up there with eyes on the top step. Luis was even in front after the last of the middle eights.

Ionela closes out the table, with 63 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. After the two-card hand on the way up, Ionela was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. In the five-card hand on the way down the table couldn't make up its mind about Ionela: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew in within seconds 🪑💋.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
