The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Roua took last place without any nerves at all, on 72 points. Roua swore 0 in the fourth of the closing eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour. In the seven-card hand on the way down, 3 chairs flew at Roua within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.

Catalin finished 5th with 87 points. Catalin said they'd take nothing in the five-card hand on the way up... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

In 4th place, Cretu, on 108 points. In the last of the middle eights: Cretu called 0, took 3, and Adrian Gh was left out in the cold. After the five-card hand on the way up, Cretu was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Adrian Gh, with 114 points. Adrian was even in front after the third of the middle eights.

edge led for 10 hands but finished second, 0 points behind. Level on points with Claudiu, and behind only on the tie-break.

Claudiu finished level and took the win on the tie-break: fewer broken contracts. Whist rewards the player who keeps their word.

Well played everyone — and especially Claudiu!
