Mihai takes the table

The cards went out, and so did the egos. Here is what came of it.

Mihai finishes on 145 points, 23 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. 15 good hands in a row — at one point, Mihai was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

unf0rgettable took second with 122 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. unf0rgettable said they'd take nothing in the six-card hand on the way down... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Ana rounds out the podium with 102 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: Ana broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. Ana was even in front after the five-card hand on the way down.

Elena finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 85 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Elena said and... hoped. It didn't hold. After the two-card hand on the way up, Elena was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Radu took last place without any nerves at all, on 67 points. 2 hands in a row: Radu broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Well played everyone — and especially Mihai!
