The comeback of Ana

The lead changed hands 4 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Elena took last place without any nerves at all, on 32 points. In the third of the opening eights, Elena bid 1 and took 4 — and Ana and unf0rgettable went down with them. 2 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Mihai finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 73 points. In the third of the closing eights: Mihai said 2, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Elena and Radu. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mihai was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, on the podium: Radu, up there with eyes on the top step. Radu was ahead of unf0rgettable right up to the last hand. Radu was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.

unf0rgettable took second with 96 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. The last hand decided it: unf0rgettable went past Radu right on the line.

Ana won at a stroll, with 121 points and 25 clear of the rest. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 13 good hands in a row.

Well played everyone — and especially Ana!
