Ana wins the evening

A game of broken contracts — 39 of them around the table, and scores from 94 all the way down to 65.

The tail of the table: MrXciting, with 65 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. The table was MrXciting's after the four-card hand on the way down; the second half had other ideas. 3 hands in a row: MrXciting broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Elena rounds out the podium with 66 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: Elena went past MrXciting right on the line. In the second of the closing eights, Elena bid 2 and took 5 — and MrXciting went down with it.

Mihai took the runner-up spot with 83 points. In the first of the closing eights: Mihai said 1, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Ana and Elena.

Ana comes out on top of everyone, with 94 points. The cards were kind. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
