The comeback of Ana

The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Pity took last place without any nerves at all, on 62 points. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Pity didn't — but insisted, with dignity. Pity cried laughing 4 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.

Mihai finished 5th with 82 points. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Matei finished 4th with 108 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Matei said and... hoped. It didn't hold. Matei was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Third, and on the podium: Ilinca, with 128 points. Ilinca was even in front after the six-card hand on the way down.

Mara took second with 133 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Mara swore 0 in the third of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Ana wins by 22 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. In the first of the opening eights: Ana said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Mihai. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.
