Petru takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 40 slips at the table and scores from 93 down to 66.

Petru took the game with 93 points and a 23-point cushion — never really in doubt. 2 hands in a row: Petru broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. 7 good hands in a row — at one point, Petru was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

unf0rgettable took second with 70 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the second of the closing eights: unf0rgettable said 0, scooped 3, and Petru was left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only unf0rgettable didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Tazy completed the podium with 69 points. In the last of the closing eights, Tazy bid 4 and took 7 — and unf0rgettable went down with it. The place above was a single point away.

Last place, with dignity: Monica, with 66 points. Somebody had to do it. After the four-card hand on the way up, Monica was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Well played everyone — and especially Petru!
