Ana never gave up the lead

A game of broken contracts — 34 of them around the table, and scores from 104 all the way down to 77.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 77 points. Somebody had to do it. In the third of the middle eights: Mihai said 1, scooped 4, and Ana was left counting the pieces. 3 hands in a row: the table said and did, Mihai said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Third, and on the podium: Daniel S, with 79 points. Daniel said they'd take nothing in the second of the closing eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Elena took the runner-up spot with 87 points. 3 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena. Elena spent a good while in last place and climbed out of it.

First place: Ana, with 104 points. The rest, see you in the replay. In front from the last of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. At one stretch, 10 good hands in a row.
