Lucky gagne

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 34 slips at the table and scores from 123 down to 43.

Lucky finishes on 123 points, 24 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 11 good hands in a row — at one point, Lucky was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Cretu took second with 99 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Cretu said they'd take nothing in the five-card hand on the way down... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Mihai completed the podium with 78 points. Mihai swore 0 in the five-card hand on the way up and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Ana took last place without any nerves at all, on 43 points. In the last of the middle eights: Ana called 1, took 7, and Lucky and Mihai were left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: Ana broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.
