The comeback of Ionela

The cards are back in the box. Here is what happened at the table.

Last place, with dignity: Ana, with 82 points. Somebody had to do it. After the five-card hand on the way up, Ana was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Luis rounds out the podium with 85 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Luis swore 0 in the seven-card hand on the way up and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Mihai led for 18 hands but finished second, 14 points behind. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Mihai didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

First place: Ionela, with 113 points. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row.
