Daniel comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 37 slips at the table and scores from 102 down to 59.

Daniel S finishes on 102 points, 21 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Ana led for 9 hands but finished second, 21 points behind. The last hand decided it: Ana went past Elena right on the line. 3 hands in a row: Ana broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Third, and on the podium: Elena, with 78 points. Elena was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Elena said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 59 points. In the five-card hand on the way down, Mihai bid 2 and took 5 — and Elena went down with it. 4 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai.
