A tug of war, won by Alice

5 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.
Champion of the evening: Alice, with 153 points. The rest, see you in the replay. Alice only went in front at the very last hand.
Second place for Mara, with 149 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. Mara was ahead of Alice right up to the last hand. Mara was even in front after the fourth of the closing eights.
Gigel completed the podium with 116 points. Gigel swore 0 in the two-card hand on the way up and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour. In the last of the opening eights, 2 chairs flew at Gigel within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.
Neither at the front nor at the back: Daniel S in 4th, with 116 points. The comfort zone. Level on points with Gigel, and behind only on the tie-break. After the fifth of the closing eights, Daniel was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
In 5th place, Kiki, on 106 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Kiki was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Last, but with style: Roua, with 92 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Roua said and... hoped. It didn't hold.
Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
