Alice comes back from behind

The lead passed from hand to hand, 9 times over — it was anyone's guess.
Alice won the game with 125 points. In the third of the opening eights, Alice bid 1 and took 4 — and Cristian Imparat went down with it. It didn't start well — only 6th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. In the four-card hand on the way up, 3 chairs flew at Alice within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.
Denisa led for 15 hands but finished second, 11 points behind. Denisa swore 0 in the seven-card hand on the way up and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.
Coca rounds out the podium with 111 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Coca swore 0 in the fourth of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.
Mara finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 100 points. In the third of the middle eights: Mara said 2, scooped 5, and Matei was left counting the pieces. After the three-card hand on the way up, Mara was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Neither at the front nor at the back: Matei in 5th, with 89 points. The comfort zone. The last hand decided it: Matei went past Cristian Imparat right on the line. 2 hands in a row: only Matei slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Matei.
Last, but with style: Cristian Imparat, with 85 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. Cristian was ahead of Matei right up to the last hand. The fifth of the opening eights: 2 chairs thrown at Cristian in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.
Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
