The comeback of Vyce
4 players · 6 October 2026
A game of broken contracts — 37 of them around the table, and scores from 103 all the way down to 51.
Carmen took last place without any nerves at all, on 51 points. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Carmen didn't — but insisted, with dignity. After the five-card hand on the way up, Carmen was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Third, on the podium: Daniel S, up there with eyes on the top step. The first of the closing eights: Daniel called 6 with the heart, not the cards. Eyes bigger than the hand.
Luis led for 15 hands but finished second, 10 points behind. Luis swore 0 in the two-card hand on the way up and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.
Vyce won the game with 103 points. In the six-card hand on the way down: Vyce called 1, took 4, and Carmen and Luis were left out in the cold. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.
Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
