Luis wins the evening

A game of broken contracts — 36 of them around the table, and scores from 101 all the way down to 70.

Last, but with style: Daniel S, with 70 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. Started like a champion — top of the table after the seven-card hand on the way down — and finished like a tragedy. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Daniel said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Monica rounds out the podium with 75 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: Monica broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Mihai took second with 81 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the first of the middle eights: Mihai said 2, scooped 5, and Monica was left counting the pieces.

Luis finishes on 101 points, 20 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. 13 good hands in a row — at one point, Luis was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
