Ana wins the evening

A game of broken contracts — 37 of them around the table, and scores from 104 all the way down to 57.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 57 points. In the third of the opening eights: Mihai said 1, scooped 4, and Ana was left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Mihai said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Elena completed the podium with 77 points. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Daniela led for 11 hands but finished second, 25 points behind. Daniela said they'd take nothing in the four-card hand on the way down... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Ana wins by 25 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
