Claudiu wins the evening

Another evening at the green baize — a bit of everything, just like home.

HelenC took last place without any nerves at all, on 49 points. In the fifth of the closing eights, HelenC bid 0 and took 5 — and CCC and Catalin went down with them.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Elena in 5th, with 100 points. The comfort zone. Level on points with Catalin, and behind only on the tie-break.

Catalin finished 4th with 100 points. In the first of the opening eights: Catalin said 1, scooped 5, and 3 others were left counting the pieces. After the two-card hand on the way up, Catalin was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
