Denisa comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 63 slips at the table and scores from 107 down to 88.

Champion of the evening: Denisa, with 107 points. The rest, see you in the replay. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Second place went to Cretu, with 102 points. Cretu got past Alice at the very last hand. In the second of the closing eights: Cretu said 3, scooped 6, and Carmen was left counting the pieces.

Third, on the podium: Mara, up there with eyes on the top step. Mara got past Alice at the very last hand. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Mara didn't — but insisted, with dignity. Mara couldn't believe their eyes 3 times 😮 — whist, full of surprises.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Alice in 4th, with 99 points. The comfort zone. Alice was ahead of Cretu right up to the last hand. After the six-card hand on the way up, Alice was leading the table — but the last hands had other plans.

In 5th place, PaulP, on 94 points. PaulP was ahead of Mara right up to the last hand. After the four-card hand on the way up, PaulP was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

The tail of the table: Carmen, with 88 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. In the fifth of the opening eights: Carmen called 0, took 5, and Cretu and Denisa were left out in the cold.
