The lead kept changing — MrXciting came out on top

After the opening eights, 3 players were level on 20 points — it was going to be a long one.

Vlad closed the table from the back, on 69 points — there is always a next game. The table was Vlad's after the last of the opening eights; the second half had other ideas.

Third, and on the podium: Cristi, with 76 points. Cristi was ahead of Pity right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Cristi said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Pity took second with 79 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Pity got past Cristi at the very last hand.

MrXciting took the game with 120 points and a 41-point cushion — never really in doubt. 7 good hands in a row — at one point, MrXciting was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
