Emi, from start to finish

4 players, 24 hands, one winner. Here is how it went.

Emi won at a stroll, with 131 points and 39 clear of the rest. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. At one stretch, 12 good hands in a row.

Elena took second with 92 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Ana completed the podium with 69 points. The last hand decided it: Ana went past Mihai right on the line. In the second of the opening eights, Ana bid 2 and took 5 — and Mihai went down with it.

The tail of the table: Mihai, with 66 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. Mihai was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: Mihai broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
