1 point. That's all. Emi won in the blink of an eye — so don't blink. Emi only went in front at the very last hand. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Radu finished second, just 1 point short of the win. Radu was ahead of Emi right up to the last hand. Radu was even in front after the second of the middle eights.

Third, on the podium: Elena, up there with eyes on the top step. Elena was ahead of Emi right up to the last hand. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Ioana in 4th, with 99 points. The comfort zone. In the fourth of the middle eights, Ioana bid 4 and took 8 — and Radu went down with it. Ioana spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round.

In 5th place, Mihai, on 95 points. Mihai swore 0 in the first of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Ana closed the table from the back, on 93 points — there is always a next game. From leader to red lantern. The little wedge tipped the big cart — and the cart was Ana. In the third of the middle eights, Ana bid 2 and took 5 — and Mihai went down with it.
