Luis takes it in the closing rounds

Luis won by a whisker, with just 2 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. At one stretch, 7 good hands in a row. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Ana led for 12 hands but finished second, 2 points behind. In the seven-card hand on the way up: Ana called 0, took 3, and Luis was left out in the cold.

Mihai completed the podium with 79 points. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai.

Ionela took last place without any nerves at all, on 59 points. The first of the opening eights: Ionela bid 6, made fewer, and counted the regrets.
