Luis, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 39 slips at the table and scores from 119 down to 44.

Luis wins by 27 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. In the third of the closing eights: Luis said 2, scooped 5, and Ionela and Mihai were left counting the pieces. In front from the last of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

unf0rgettable took second with 92 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. A quiet finish: far from the place above, safe from the one below.

Mihai completed the podium with 52 points. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Ionela closed the table from the back, on 44 points — there is always a next game. 2 hands in a row: Ionela broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. Before the last eights, only 1 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
