Ionela comes back from behind

The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.

First place, no appeal: Ionela, with 100 points. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Second place for Mihai, with 86 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. In the third of the middle eights, Mihai bid 1 and took 6 — and Ionela went down with it. Mihai was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

crista rounds out the podium with 76 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 3 hands in a row: crista broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Luis took last place without any nerves at all, on 56 points. In the first of the middle eights: Luis said 3, scooped 6, and crista was left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Luis didn't — but insisted, with dignity.
