Catalin never gave up the lead

The cards are back in the box. Here is what happened at the table.

Roua took last place without any nerves at all, on 78 points. The fourth of the closing eights: Roua bid 6, made fewer, and counted the regrets.

Daniela finished 5th with 104 points. Level on points with Claudiu, and behind only on the tie-break. In the last of the opening eights: Daniela said 4, scooped 7, and Adrian Gh was left counting the pieces. The fifth of the closing eights: 2 chairs thrown at Daniela in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Claudiu in 4th, with 104 points. The comfort zone. Before the last eights, only 5 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.

Third, and on the podium: Ana, with 106 points. Ana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Adrian Gh, with 119 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Adrian said and... hoped. It didn't hold. At one stretch, 10 good hands in a row.

Catalin comes out on top of everyone, with 132 points. The cards were kind. In front from the first of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

Well played everyone — and especially Catalin!
