Alice comes back from behind

The lead changed hands 7 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.
Champion of the evening: Alice, with 108 points. The rest, see you in the replay. Alice only went in front at the very last hand. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. In the third of the closing eights, 2 chairs flew at Alice within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.
Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Gigel, with 102 points. Gigel was ahead of Alice right up to the last hand. Gigel was even in front after the third of the closing eights. The fourth of the closing eights: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew at Gigel 🪑💋 — the table couldn't decide whether it adored them.
Third, and on the podium: Roua, with 98 points. Roua got past Florentin at the very last hand. Roua was even in front after the three-card hand on the way up.
Florentin finished 4th with 98 points. Level on points with Roua, and behind only on the tie-break. Florentin was ahead of Roua right up to the last hand.
Luis finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 90 points. In the third of the middle eights: Luis said 2, scooped 6, and 3 others were left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Luis didn't — but insisted, with dignity. In the three-card hand on the way up the table couldn't make up its mind about Luis: 2 chairs and 1 kiss flew in within seconds 🪑💋.
Kiki closes out the table, with 83 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. In the third of the opening eights, Kiki bid 1 and took 4 — and Roua went down with it. After the seven-card hand on the way up, Kiki was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. In the fourth of the middle eights, 5 chairs flew at Kiki within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.
Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
