Emi takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 101 down to 53.

Emi wins by 27 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. At one stretch, 7 good hands in a row.

Kiki took second with 74 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the first of the closing eights, Kiki bid 1 and took 4 — and Emi went down with it. 2 hands in a row: only Kiki slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Kiki.

Third, and on the podium: Elena, with 73 points. The place above was a single point away.

Vyce took last place without any nerves at all, on 53 points. In the third of the closing eights: Vyce said 0, made 3, and the evening was ruined for Elena. After the first of the closing eights, Vyce was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
