The comeback of Vyce

The tail of the table: Cozo, with 46 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. In the six-card hand on the way down, Cozo bid 3 and took 6 — and Vyce went down with it. 2 hands in a row: Cozo broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Third, on the podium: Daniela, up there with eyes on the top step. In the third of the middle eights: Daniela said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for edge. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Daniela didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Vyce took the game with 104 points and a 21-point cushion — never really in doubt. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 7 good hands in a row — at one point, Vyce was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards. Vyce cried laughing 3 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.
