Nico comes back from behind

The lead passed from hand to hand, 8 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Nico won with 115 points, by a whisker: just 1 point ahead. Nico only went in front at the very last hand. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Nico didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Elena led for 19 hands but finished second, 1 point behind. In the third of the middle eights: Elena said 1, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Ana and Radu. Elena was ahead of Nico right up to the last hand.

Radu rounds out the podium with 95 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 8 good hands in a row — at one point, Radu was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Mihai in 4th, with 88 points. The comfort zone. Before the last eights, only 8 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.

Ana closes out the table, with 86 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. After the two-card hand on the way up, Ana was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
