Ana wins it late

The lead passed from hand to hand, 10 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Elena closes out the table, with 78 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. 2 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena. After the four-card hand on the way up, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Alina completed the podium with 87 points. In the first of the opening eights: Alina called 0, took 3, and Elena was left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: only Alina slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Alina.

Mihai led for 8 hands but finished second, 16 points behind. Mihai said they'd take nothing in the first of the closing eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Ana crossed the finish line first, on 109 points.
