Denisa, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 43 slips at the table and scores from 83 down to 59.

First place and peace of mind: Denisa, with 83 points. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Second place for Gigel, with 71 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. In the last of the opening eights, Gigel bid 0 and took 3 — and Ana went down with it.

Ana rounds out the podium with 61 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Ana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Mihai closes out the table, with 59 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. In the second of the opening eights, Mihai bid 0 and took 3 — and Gigel went down with it. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mihai was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
