Radu takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 50 slips at the table and scores from 120 down to 61.

Radu finishes on 120 points, 25 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems.

Nico took second with 95 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the third of the middle eights: Nico said 0, scooped 4, and Elena and Mihai were left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Nico didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Third, and on the podium: Emi, with 88 points. In the first of the middle eights: Emi said 0, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Elena and Radu. At one stretch, 7 good hands in a row.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Mihai in 4th, with 78 points. The comfort zone. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mihai was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Elena took last place without any nerves at all, on 61 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Elena said and... hoped. It didn't hold.
