Daniel comes back from behind

5 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Daniel S won by a whisker, with just 1 point — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. It didn't start well — only 6th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 11 good hands in a row — at one point, Daniel was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Cretu led for 17 hands but finished second, 1 point behind. The place above was a single point away.

Third, and on the podium: Bot, with 118 points. Bot was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Emi finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 91 points. In the fourth of the closing eights: Emi said 0, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Bot and Cretu. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Emi said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Carmen in 5th, with 87 points. The comfort zone. Carmen swore 0 in the six-card hand on the way down and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Last place: Bot, with 76 points. Started like a champion — top of the table after the six-card hand on the way down — and finished like a tragedy. In the third of the opening eights: Bot said 4, made 7, and the evening was ruined for Daniel S.

Well played everyone — and especially Daniel S!
