The comeback of Cozo

The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Ilinca took last place without any nerves at all, on 76 points. Leading by the book until the four-card hand on the way down... then the cards turned the page. Ilinca, hard luck. In the third of the closing eights: Ilinca said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Raluca.

In 4th place, Laura, on 96 points. 2 hands in a row: only Laura slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Laura. After the two-card hand on the way up, Laura was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. Laura cried laughing 3 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Mara rounds out the podium with 100 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Mara spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round. 10 good hands in a row — at one point, Mara was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Raluca led for 12 hands but finished second, 7 points behind. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Raluca didn't — but insisted, with dignity. The four-card hand on the way down: 2 chairs thrown at Raluca in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Cozo won the game with 110 points. It didn't start well — only 5th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
