The comeback of Vlad

The lead changed hands 8 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 97 points. Somebody had to do it. Level on points with Radu, and behind only on the tie-break. Mihai was ahead of Radu right up to the last hand.

Radu finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 97 points. Radu got past Mihai at the very last hand. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Radu said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Ana finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 111 points. Ana was even in front after the six-card hand on the way down.

Third, on the podium: Ioana, up there with eyes on the top step. Ioana was even in front after the fourth of the middle eights.

Second place for Elena, with 127 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. Elena was even in front after the first of the closing eights.

Vlad takes the game with 131 points and goes home happy. In the fifth of the opening eights: Vlad called 4, took 7, and Elena and Radu were left out in the cold.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
