Ana, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 34 slips at the table and scores from 111 down to 73.

Ana took the game with 111 points and a 25-point cushion — never really in doubt. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 2 hands in a row: Ana broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Scorpio04 took second with 86 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Scorpio04 said and... hoped. It didn't hold. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: Scorpio04 plays right down to the last card.

Third, and on the podium: Elena, with 75 points. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Mihai closes out the table, with 73 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
