The comeback of Ana

4 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

The tail of the table: Luis, with 68 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. In the third of the closing eights, Luis bid 3 and took 7 — and Ana and Mihai went down with them. After the six-card hand on the way up, Luis was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, on the podium: Mihai, up there with eyes on the top step. Mihai was even in front after the five-card hand on the way down.

Elena led for 8 hands but finished second, 15 points behind. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Ana comes out on top of everyone, with 94 points. The cards were kind. In the four-card hand on the way down: Ana said 1, scooped 4, and Mihai was left counting the pieces. Ana was even last after the third of the middle eights, which makes the win all the sweeter.
