The comeback of Mihai

6 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Last place, with dignity: Matei, with 80 points. Somebody had to do it. Top of the table after the four-card hand on the way down, then straight to the bottom. The plan at home didn't match the one at the table.

Ana finished 5th with 88 points. Ana was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

In 4th place, Mara, on 107 points. In the third of the closing eights, Mara bid 3 and took 6 — and Ana and Pity went down with them. After the six-card hand on the way up, Mara was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Pity, with 115 points. At one stretch, 11 good hands in a row. Pity couldn't bear to look 6 times 🙈 — some hands are better not watched.

Ilinca led for 16 hands but finished second, 7 points behind. Ilinca said they'd take nothing in the fourth of the closing eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Mihai gathered 127 points and the hearts of the crowd. Bravo! In the second of the opening eights: Mihai said 3, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Mara.
