Elena comes back from behind

4 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Elena comes out on top of everyone, with 124 points. The cards were kind. It didn't start well — only 5th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 18 good hands in a row.

Second place went to Mihai, with 112 points. Mihai was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Ana completed the podium with 112 points. Level on points with Mihai, and behind only on the tie-break. In the fourth of the middle eights, Ana bid 1 and took 4 — and Mihai went down with it.

Emi finished 4th with 101 points. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Emi didn't — but insisted, with dignity. After the two-card hand on the way up, Emi was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Ioana in 5th, with 95 points. The comfort zone. Ioana swore 0 in the third of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Radu closes out the table, with 85 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. 2 hands in a row: only Radu slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Radu.
