Alina takes the table

The cards went out, and so did the egos. Here is what came of it.

First place: Alina, with 112 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Alina said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Luis led for 11 hands but finished second, 5 points behind. At one stretch, 10 good hands in a row. Luis couldn't bear to look 3 times 🙈 — some hands are better not watched.

Mihai completed the podium with 74 points. In the five-card hand on the way down, Mihai bid 1 and took 4 — and Alina and Ionela went down with them. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai.

Ionela took last place without any nerves at all, on 58 points. In the first of the middle eights: Ionela called 4, took 7, and Luis was left out in the cold. Before the last eights, only 10 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold. Ionela sat thinking 3 times 🤔 — and still bid on a guess.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
