A tug of war, won by Catalin
6 players · 9 October 2026
The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.
Catalin finishes on 141 points, 23 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
Elena took second with 118 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Elena got past Ioana at the very last hand. Elena was even in front after the five-card hand on the way down.
Ioana completed the podium with 116 points. Ioana was ahead of Elena right up to the last hand.
In 4th place, Radu, on 102 points. Radu left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.
In 5th place, Mihai, on 97 points. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.
Ana took last place without any nerves at all, on 81 points. 14 broken contracts, collected like stamps.
Well played everyone — and especially Catalin!
