Ana comes back from behind

The lead changed hands 6 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Champion of the evening: Ana, with 90 points. The rest, see you in the replay. Ana was even last after the two-card hand on the way down, which makes the win all the sweeter. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Daniela took the runner-up spot with 84 points. The last hand decided it: Daniela went past edge right on the line. Daniela was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Mihai rounds out the podium with 82 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: Mihai went past edge right on the line. In the last of the middle eights: Mihai called 3, took 6, and edge was left out in the cold.

Last, but with style: edge, with 81 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. Started like a champion — top of the table after the six-card hand on the way down — and finished like a tragedy. In the last of the closing eights: edge said 0, scooped 3, and Ana was left counting the pieces.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
