Coca comes back from behind

The cards went out, and so did the egos. Here is what came of it.

First place and peace of mind: Coca, with 118 points. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Yurii, with 112 points. The last hand decided it: Yurii went past Olga right on the line. Yurii was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Denisa rounds out the podium with 105 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: Denisa went past Olga right on the line.

Olga finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 105 points. Level on points with Denisa, and behind only on the tie-break. Olga was ahead of Yurii right up to the last hand.

The tail of the table: Pity, with 98 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. 3 hands in a row: only Pity slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Pity.

Well played everyone — and especially Coca!
