The comeback of CCC

The lead changed hands 8 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Adrian Gh took last place without any nerves at all, on 71 points. In the last of the opening eights: Adrian said 1, scooped 6, and Catalin and Elena were left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Adrian said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Mihai finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 91 points. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Elena in 4th, with 107 points. The comfort zone. After the six-card hand on the way up, Elena was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. 9 good hands in a row — at one point, Elena was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Third, and on the podium: Catalin, with 113 points. Catalin was ahead of Claudiu right up to the last hand. Catalin was even in front after the five-card hand on the way down.

Claudiu took the runner-up spot with 119 points. The last hand decided it: Claudiu went past Catalin right on the line. Claudiu was even in front after the three-card hand on the way down.

First place, no appeal: CCC, with 127 points. In the first of the middle eights: CCC called 2, took 7, and 3 others were left out in the cold. And that despite a slip in the very last hand. CCC cried laughing 7 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
