Edy wins it late

The lead changed hands 5 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Last place: Padre, with 94 points. After the first of the closing eights, Padre was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. At one stretch, 11 good hands in a row.

Teo finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 96 points. In the last of the closing eights: Teo said 2, made 7, and the evening was ruined for Gabriel and TaNE. After the second of the closing eights, Teo was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Gabriel finished 4th with 103 points. In the first of the closing eights: Gabriel said 1, scooped 4, and CATA was left counting the pieces. Gabriel was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Third, on the podium: TaNE, up there with eyes on the top step. One card, a single card, and TaNE still got it wrong on the one-card hand. It happens even in the best houses.

Second place for CATA, with 117 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. CATA was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.
