The comeback of Ionela

The lead changed hands 6 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Last, but with style: Daniela, with 72 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. In the last of the closing eights: Daniela said 1, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Luis. Daniela was ahead of Cristian Imparat right up to the last hand. The first of the middle eights: 2 chairs thrown at Daniela in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Cristian Imparat rounds out the podium with 81 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: Cristian went past Daniela right on the line. 2 hands in a row: Cristian broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Luis led for 14 hands but finished second, 7 points behind. 3 hands in a row: only Luis slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Luis. Luis was ahead of Ionela right up to the last hand.

First place: Ionela, with 100 points. The rest, see you in the replay. Ionela only went in front at the very last hand. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
