Raluca comes back from behind

Raluca won with 87 points, by a whisker: just 1 point ahead. Raluca only went in front at the very last hand.

Luis led for 19 hands but finished second, 1 point behind. Luis was ahead of Raluca right up to the last hand. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row.

Ionela rounds out the podium with 81 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the last of the middle eights: Ionela called 0, took 7, and Mihai was left out in the cold.

Mihai closes out the table, with 74 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. In the last of the opening eights, Mihai bid 0 and took 6 — and Ionela went down with it. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai.
