Mihai never gave up the lead
4 players · 23 September 2026
4 players, 24 hands, one winner and a pile of excuses. Let's see how it went.
Elena took last place without any nerves at all, on 63 points. 4 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena. After the two-card hand on the way up, Elena was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Third, on the podium: PaulP, up there with eyes on the top step. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row.
Ana took second with 94 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. One card, a single card, and Ana still got it wrong on the one-card hand. It happens even in the best houses.
Mihai won at a stroll, with 114 points and 20 clear of the rest. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Mihai said and... hoped. It didn't hold.
Well played everyone. Same table next time?
