Ana comes back from behind

The lead changed hands 7 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

First place, no appeal: Ana, with 137 points. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. Going into the last hand the lead was already 23 — that one was a lap of honour.

Second place for Roua, with 124 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. Roua got past Mihai at the very last hand. Roua was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Mihai completed the podium with 119 points. In the second of the middle eights, Mihai bid 1 and took 4 — and Adrian Gh and Elena went down with them. Mihai was ahead of Roua right up to the last hand.

Elena finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 111 points. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

In 5th place, Adrian Gh, on 102 points. Adrian swore 0 in the three-card hand on the way up and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

HelenC took last place without any nerves at all, on 81 points. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only HelenC didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
