The lead changed hands 4 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.
First place: Elena, with 132 points.
Second place for GIBO, with 126 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. GIBO was even in front after the six-card hand on the way down. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row.
Third, on the podium: Cristian Imparat, up there with eyes on the top step. Cristian said they'd take nothing in the first of the opening eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.
In 4th place, crista, on 104 points. In the fourth of the opening eights, crista bid 0 and took 3 — and GIBO went down with it. Before the last eights, only 2 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.
Roua finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 104 points. Level on points with crista, and behind only on the tie-break.
Radu closes out the table, with 97 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. 2 hands in a row: only Radu slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Radu.
